Matthew Beard was born to Geoffrey Edelsten and is now suing the estate.

Beard inherited $50,000 from Edelsten. Edelsten, an infidel doctor and notorious womaniser, was killed in a Melbourne apartment at the age 78. Beard had $60,000 in cash.

Beard, who is now requesting a larger slice of Edelsten’s assets (which are valued at $1million), has filed papers with the Victorian Supreme Court, according to the Herald Sun.

Matthew Beard, the only son of Geoffrey Edelsten and a businessman, is seeking fortune. Matthew Beard sued the estate of his father, a former billionaire who died in dire financial straits last May.

Beard, who earned $1,000 per month from his father up to 2017, submitted his request for money. He requested that Edelsten pay him money to support his ‘education and maintenance and advancements in life’.

Beard named Michael John Webb (executor) and Lindsay Lawrence Hosking (co-defendants) as Edelsten’s executors.

Edelsten acknowledged Matthew Beard, Isabel’s son, as his only significant family member in the will. Edelsten hadn’t seen Matthew since he was a young child.

Beard, who, unlike his media-seeking father, has avoided the spotlight, is believed to have attended Edelsten’s June 16th funeral.

It is believed that he kept in touch via telephone with Edelsten throughout the years and was very upset by his death.
