The best Roombas in 2022

iRobot makes so many robot vacuums that it can be difficult to find the best Roombas. iRobot’s Roomba series includes everything you need, from basic models to the most expensive models. You don’t need to spend a lot to get the best Roombas, especially if you use one our coupon codes.

You want a model that picks up all debris in one pass, including embedded pet hair or dust. It should be easy to use and quick to empty the dust bin. It can be difficult to know these things based on the specifications. We’ve tried a variety of Roombas to find out which ones really stand out. We have the right robot mop for you, no matter what your budget is. These Roombas are the best.

Which are the best Roombas?

The iRobot Roomba j7+ is the best Roomba if money is not an issue. The iRobot Roomba j7+’s obstacle-avoiding technology makes pet poop collisions a distant memory. It also cleans up after it self-empties its base. It uses the most recent robot vacuum technology and literally learns from every encounter. Plus. Smart Mapping allows you to control the rooms that you want cleaned and when. You can use it in conjunction with Roomba’s Braava M6 mopping robot ($499 each). This combination allows the j7+ to vacuum the floors and the m6 to sweep them.

This is by no means a cheap purchase. The j7+ costs $849, and the m6 $499. However, you can get both for $1,198.

Even if you have never owned one, not everyone will be able to afford this much money. We recommend the iRobot Roomba 675, if you are on a tight budget. This robot vacuum is an affordable $199 — it may not have the same premium features as the s9+ but it is still a powerful cleaner that can get the job done. You can also schedule cleaning sessions right from your smartphone by connecting to the Wi-Fi.

The Roomba j7+ robot vacuum from iRobot is the newest. The robot vacuum is also able to eliminate pet poop, which is a big concern for many owners. Its obstacle avoidance technology detects objects and will choose to veer around them. It learns from each run and recognizes objects such as socks and cables. Over time, it will expand its database to include larger objects.

The J7+ also comes with a convenient clean base that can store debris for up to 60 days. The base is compact and stylish, but not too intrusive. The j7+ performed well on larger debris like cereal and cat litter. However, it was not as good for hair. The j7+ has a 91.81 overall cleaning score, which is not a bad performer. It also uses the most advanced object detection technology. Although this model is not cheap, it often appears in the best robotic vacuum deals list.

The charging indicator could be brighter – Uses older navigation technology

It doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to take out a second mortgage to buy a Roomba. The iRobot Roomba675 is one of the most affordable robot vacuums. The Roomba 675, like its premium sibling, can be controlled via Wi-Fi and controlled via the iRobot App. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings. Although it can’t map your pad, virtual walls can be set up to prevent the bot from entering areas it shouldn’t.

The Roomba 675 is elegant and sophisticated in a combination of matte and shiny black. The bot’s sturdy carrying handle is a great feature. The 675 does not offer mapping so you will likely find yourself lifting it and moving it around from one room to another to pinpoint specific areas.

To enhance the Roomba 675’s cleaning abilities, iRobot has two sizes of brush rolls: one with rubber flaps and the other with bristles. We found that the Roomba675 review showed that it wasn’t as effective at cleaning pet hair as other models. According to the company, its Auto-Adjust cleaning heads can adapt to different surfaces. iRobot offers a variety of replacement parts for the Roomba675 so that you can repair it rather than tossing it in a dump.

There are many reasons to buy

+Able to customize how many times it cleans an area+Recharges and resumes cleaning automatically+Includes Virtual Wall

Avoidable reasons

-Can’t do automatic single room cleaning

The iRobot Roomba 960 is a perfect blend of advanced features and affordability. It’s the ideal Roomba for pet owners who don’t want to spend over $500 on a robotic vacuum. The Roomba 960, like the i7 and s9, has a rubber brush that is designed to pick up Whiskers.

The Roomba 960 also uses the same advanced camera navigation as the Roomba s9 or i7. The Wi-Fi-connected bot will vacuum your floors and create a map in the iRobot App. However, you can’t customize the map or add no-go areas. The box comes with a Virtual Wall. Multi-pass cleaning is possible with customizable options. This will allow you to clean the spot where your dog or cat likes to lay down.

It’s only rated to clean for 75 minutes, but it is smart enough to go back to its dock and recharge the battery before it goes back to work. You will be notified by the 960 when it is time to empty your bin.

Although the Roomba 960 may be slightly older than the i7 or s9 models, it still offers superior cleaning capabilities at a much lower price.

There are many reasons to buy

+Excellent navigation+Able to clean only one room+Fast cleaning

Avoidable reasons

-Clean Base can be very loud and expensive

The Roomba i7+ is the first robot vacuum that came with iRobot Clean Base, a self-emptying bin that’s integrated into the charging base. To capture dust, it uses small disposable vacuum bags. The bag must be changed after approximately 30 runs. This bag is a blessing for people with allergies or aversions of dust handling.

This is not the only outstanding feature of the Roomba. The Wi-Fi-connected mapping bot can clean specific rooms at will, while avoiding obstacles such as pet food bowls. This was the first robot that we were able to see thinking in our roomba i7+ review. It would move in one direction, then clean up and continue on to another.

The Roomba app allows you to set up cleanings and modify your floor plan. The i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and you can edit them at any time. The Roomba’s i7 works well with the Braavajet m6 robot mop, just like the Roomba S9. The Braava jet mop m6 will begin cleaning the vacuum after it is done. We truly live in the future.

Although the Roomba Roomba i7+ may not be the most affordable Roomba, its price has fallen significantly since the introduction of the s9.

There are many reasons to buy

+Attractive and premium design+Mapping was fast and easy+Easy to use mapping controls in app

Avoidable reasons

-Loud vacuum, loud dustbin-Very expensive

You can’t go wrong with going big. The first D-shaped Roomba from iRobot is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and it’s also one of the most popular vacuum cleaners. The Roomba’s s9 vacuum cleaner aims to make vacuuming easier by vacuuming more often where it is needed and less frequently where it is not. This intelligent vacuum is paired with a self-emptying, dust-reducing base. After it is set up, all the Roomba needs to do is replace the vacuum bag when it gets full.

The s9’s D-shaped design allows it to clean better around corners and baseboards. The Roomba Roomba+ s9+ emits a white light that zooms around the disc when it is cleaning. This vacuum cleaner is really nice looking.

The iRobot app allows you to control the Roomba s9+. You can view the mapping results, mark rooms and create no-go areas. The s9+ can schedule cleanings for specific rooms and entire floors. Multiple levels? iRobot claims its Imprint Smart Mapping can support up to 10 maps. The Roomba s9 can be used in conjunction with the Braavajet m6 mopping machine. The Braava jet mop robot will take over vacuuming duties when the s9 is done.

The Roomba s9 scored a perfect score in our tests when it came to picking up cat litter on hardwood and carpet. It was also able to pick up Cheerios and dog hair.

Apart from its price, the Roomba S9+’s only problem is its loudness. We noted that the Roomba s9+ was loud on hardwood floors in our Roomba s9+ review. However, the Clean Base, which self-empties, sounds like a jet engine preparing for takeoff. This robot is one you will want to clean when you aren’t home.

6. iRobot Roomba i3+

Roomba’s most affordable self-emptying robot vacuum

Specifications

Cleaning Performance 90.1

There are many reasons to buy

+Self-emptying base great for those with allergies+Excellent hardwood performance+Auto-detects dirtier areas

Avoidable reasons

-Poor pet hair on carpet-Lacks intelligent mapping-Very loud Clean base

The iRobot Roomba i3+ robot vacuum is the most affordable and has a self-cleaning function. The self-emptying base means that you don’t need to empty it after each run. Except for carpet hair, the Roomba i3+ performed well in all tests.

Roomba i3+ is also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. You can set up a schedule, and it can connect to smart home devices. The i3+ cannot be used to map individual rooms like the s9+ or i7+. We were pleased with its performance and the fact that it doesn’t need to be cleaned after each use.

7. iRobot Roomba e5

Roomba at a lower price with high-end parts

Specifications

Dimensions: 13x13x3.6 inches

Dust bin capacity 500 ml

Weight: 7.2 pounds

Mapping No

Smart home compatibility: Alexa and Google Assistant

+Affordable+Uses the same rollers that high-end Roombas+WiFi connected

Avoidable reasons

-No mapping capabilities

The iRobot Roomba e5 costs $30 less than the Roomba 650, but it uses the same dual rubber brush system as the Roomba s9 and i7, which is found on the Roomba 960. These brushes are more effective at cleaning pet hair. So invite your dog to play on your favorite rug. iRobot claims that the e5 has five times as much suction as the Roomba 675. It’s not bad for $30 more.

The e5 looks similar to the 675 and has a basic black exterior with a recessed carry handle located just above the center buttons. The i7’s underside is most similar to the e5’s with its brightly colored roller brushes. Although it looks similar to the i7, the app features of the e5 are more comparable to the 675. Although the e5 can be controlled and connected via Wi-Fi, it is not capable of cleaning specific rooms or mapping them. You can however schedule the bot so it cleans your floors at regular times.
