Why there will never be a Fable 2PC Port

Since Fable 2 was released on Xbox 360, fans have been asking for the development team to make a version for Fable 2. Fable 3 was launched on consoles in 2010, and Fable 3 is expected to arrive for PC in 2011. Fans will recall Fable 3 from the past and remember that there was a console version and a PC version. Fans wonder if Fable 2 is coming to the PC.

History of Fable 2

Fable’s original developers realized that the game was so popular. They decided that a PC port was necessary. Fable 2, a sequel, was released. The original game was also available on console systems. Unknown reasons prevented the release of a computer version. Fable 3 was first released in 2010. The 2011 version followed.

Fable 2 is only available in the console version. Lionhead Studios claimed that Fable 2 was so popular, they had to port it to the PC. But that didn’t happen. A member of Lionhead Studios’ development group also stated that they weren’t currently working on a Fable 2 port for PC and didn’t plan to. This was true, even though it was not in line with the official developer statement.

If Lionhead Studios does not create the computer for the sequel, it may not be returning. This isn’t the first time a developer has left a gaming platform in a series. Epic, the developer behind Gears of War, did the same. Epic released a PC version of Gears of War 1 as well when it was released on consoles. When they created Gears of War 2, they told gamers they didn’t intend to make a computer version.

This information suggests that Fable 2 will not be created by the developer. Lionhead Studios has already released the third installment of the series. The sequel has not yet been made available on a computer-based platform. It is not logical for the developers to go backwards in the series rather than moving forward. It is possible that it will be the reality, even though it might not be what fans desire to hear. Fable 2 won’t be available for PC.
